The Canonet QL19 is a popular and very well built rangefinder, fitted with a sharp and contrasty Canon 45mm f/1.9 lens. The fast f/1.9 aperture makes it particularly good in lower light shooting.
The QL19 boasts features like shutter-priority automatic exposure with a match-needle meter, a quiet and reliable leaf shutter with speeds up to 1/500s, and full manual override, alongside Canon’s Quick Load system, which allows film to be loaded without threading the leader onto the take-up spool.
This example shows the “Quick Loading” text engraved on the front plate, a detail associated with earlier QL19 production and seen less often than later QL logo versions.

60-Day Guarantee
Buying vintage items can feel like a gamble, so every camera, lens and accessory comes with a 60-day guarantee. All items are properly tested and prepared before sale, and if a fault appears within the first 60 days, we aim to repair it within two weeks of being returned. If the item can’t be repaired, we’ll provide a like-for-like replacement, refund or store credit. This guarantee doesn’t cover accidental impact or water damage.
