Leica Leitz SCNOO Rapid Winder

The Leitz SCNOO rapid winder, the legendary trigger advance baseplate that later became known as the Leicavit. Made in Wetzlar from 1935, it replaces the standard baseplate of a screw mount Leica, and the folding trigger advances the film with a single pull of the fingers. Far quicker than the winding knob, it was a favourite of press and street photographers of the era. Relatively few were made and they have become a genuinely sought after collector's piece.
This example is the chrome version, correct for the Leica II, III, IIIa and IIIb (DII and DIII). The mechanism has been tested and winds smoothly.

Good: Visible signs of use, such as minor scratches or small dents. Nothing excessive or performance-affecting.
Fair: Noticeable wear, including dents or marks. Fully functional unless stated otherwise in the listing.
60-Day Guarantee
