The Minolta MC Rokkor-PF 55mm f/1.7 is a compact standard lens from Minolta's MC Rokkor era, supplied with many of the SR-T series cameras in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Its six element, five group design gives good central sharpness and classic Minolta colour rendering that looks warm and natural, with a gentle softness wide open that gives way to crisp, even results across the frame as it is stopped down.
Solidly built from metal with a smooth focus action, it uses the Minolta SR mount with meter coupling (MC), so it fits every manual focus Minolta SLR, working in aperture priority and manual on the later MD era bodies, and adapts easily to mirrorless cameras.
