The Carl Zeiss Planar 100mm f/2 MMJ (Leitax adaptor for Canon EF Mount) is a fast short-telephoto prime known for its high sharpness, strong micro-contrast, and classic neutral but rich Zeiss rendering. The Planar design delivers gives excellent subject separation and well controlled background blur.
Manual focus with a long, smooth focus throw allows precise control for both stills and video work. This example has been professionally converted using a Leitax Canon EF mount, allowing native use on Canon EF cameras without adapters. Leitax conversions are fully mechanical, precisely machined, and widely regarded as the correct way to adapt high-end manual lenses to modern systems. Infinity focus is retained, and the lens mounts securely with proper flange distance.
