Contax 167MT 35mm film camera, front

Contax 167MT - Planar 50mm f1.7

£395.00

The Contax 167MT is a motorised SLR from Kyocera, built in Japan from 1986 as the successor to the 137 MA. It offers three program modes alongside shutter priority, aperture priority and full manual, with centre-weighted and spot metering, automatic exposure bracketing and a quartz-timed shutter running from 16 seconds to 1/4000s, all read from a clear LCD panel on the top plate. The built in motor loads, winds and rewinds the film, at up to three frames a second.

With the Carl Zeiss Planar T* 50mm f/1.7, a compact standard lens known for its sharpness and the rich contrast of the Zeiss T* coating, the 167MT opens up the full Contax/Yashica range of Carl Zeiss lenses. This is the later MM version of the Planar, so all six exposure modes work with it. A refined and highly capable SLR that makes the most of the glass it was built around.
