The Pentax ME Super is an ultra compact 35mm SLR, produced from 1979 to 1984. It builds on the ME by adding full manual control through its distinctive push button speed selector, alongside the dependable aperture priority auto mode the series was known for. The electronic shutter reaches 1/2000s, exceptional for a camera this size, and the large, bright viewfinder with LED readout makes it a pleasure to compose with. The supplied SMC Pentax-M 50mm f/1.7 is a compact and superb performer, with excellent sharpness and pleasing rendering across the frame.
